Illustrator by day, surrealist by night, Dr. Seuss created a body of irrepressible work that redefines this American icon as an iconographic American artist. The Secret Art of Dr. Seuss often shows a side of the artist that most readers, familiar with him through his classic children's books, have never seen. These "Midnight Paintings," along with significant drawings and sculpture, were often created by Dr. Seuss at night for his own personal enjoyment and were rarely, if ever, exhibited during his lifetime.

During this week-long exhibit, we will have some of the rarest artworks from this collection available for purchase in extremely limited quantities. This is a very unique chance to see and snag some of the most highly sought-after artworks from both the Secret and Illustrative collections.

The general exhibit is open to the public. On Saturday the 18th, there will be a private reception which is by R.S.V.P. only; there is very limited space available. A representative from Chase Art Group will be here giving a deeper exploration of some of these artworks.
